Our newsletters contain lots of great information, like Honor Roll students, Principal's Honor Roll, and Successful Stallions. We'll also include upcoming activities for the month, PTO announcements, classroom events, and much more.

Our wonderful PTO is still looking for volunteers to help in our school office, lunch room, playground, and library. Please call 480.695.3748 if you can help!

Send in your Box Tops! Classroom competitions start this month. The class with the most box tops each month wins a prize. We are also collecting empty Capri-Sun pouches, so send them in with your student!

Kathryn Sue Simonton Elementary won an Arizona Students Achieving Mathematics Academy (ASAMA) grant to provide training for general education and special education staff for the 2010-2011 school year. This grant will cover the cost of registration for five Simonton staff members - Principal, Mary Jane Griffith, General Education Teachers, Christine Villa, Joline King, and Jillian Luna, and Special Education teacher, Kathleen Fisel-Mendez. The training will help staff provide improved math instruction, leading to better achievement in 3rd grade AIMS scores.
